Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need an event planner? I have someone who wants to help out.

It’s so great that they want to be a part of the day! Having your loved ones working on your wedding might seem fun, but you want your mom, aunt, friends and everyone else to relax all morning, then dance it out with you all night! They might not know how to handle conflicts that inevitably pop up, which could mean you end up problem solving on your big day instead of living in the moment.

Is it true that I can save money on my event by hiring an event planner?

Yes! Planners have all sorts of methods for cutting costs, but it starts with having a network of fantastic vendors. We would never steer you towards a company or service that wasn’t a great value. We also have relationships with partner companies who provide special discounts on items you might need. We’re all about helping you come in under budget.

How will I know when I have found the right fit in an event planner?

It’s so important to make sure that all of your vendors are the right fit for your budget, vision, and personality! You will spend a lot of time with your planner throughout the process and on your big day, so they should feel like someone you could imagine being friends with. Ask plenty of questions to get a feel for their personality, and try to meet them in person!

How many planning clients do you work with at one time?

We take on an average of 12 planning clients per year. While we are technically capable of more, limiting our calendar means that we can dedicate a lot of time to each client! We are intimately involved in the wedding planning process, and want to make sure each client feels loved and supported, with as much of our attention as possible.

How much does wedding planning normally cost?

You can generally expect to spend around 10% of your total wedding cost on planning services. This can fluctuate based on the experience of the planner, services provided by them, and any extras you’re ordering from them. Your planner is going to spend a significant amount of time before your wedding making sure everything is done thoroughly and accurately, and then 10-14 hours the day of the wedding for directing and coordinating all of those details – not to mention providing you with peace of mind before and during the event!
