Aaron and Elizabeth had planned to get married in June of 2020, but the pandemic forced them to change their plans. They decided to wait and host a reception in September (more on that event another time!) and have a private elopement over the summer instead! We planned a hike with a small team of planner + photographers, and set off for the weekend!

We hiked up to Max Patch with her dress, the bouquet, and everything else, and Elizabeth got dressed at the top of the mountain. Aaron met us shortly afterwards for their first look, and they took their time wandering around taking photos wherever they found a spot they liked. Elizabeth also packed some disposable cameras, so that they could remember what the day looked like from their own perspectives – such a cute idea!

When the lighting was just right, they stepped further away from us to say their vows and exchange rings privately. Just before they began, Aaron called out “Who goes first? What do we do?” They were informed that they could go in whatever order they liked, so they looked at each other, nodded, and did rock/paper/scissors to determine who would go first.

After they had finished, we spread out a blanket and laid out a champagne bucket and some cake, and they settled in to enjoy the sunset together. While they enjoyed their dessert, they took personal videos for each of their parents and grandparents, thanking them for all of their love and support. Once it got dark, we packed everything up, and headed back down the mountain, where they departed for a short honeymoon nearby.
